EDS's first product was designing and building an onsite late registration system for the Motorola Austin Marathon before the turn of the millennia.  In the days when online registration closed days before the race to prepare for packet pickup, being able to take in new registrations past that point was ground breaking technology, which was quickly picked up by many major races.

At the heart of that system, dynamic bib assignment allowed EDS's online and onsite registration to stay open until race start, which not only maximized runner registrations, it also greatly increased packet pick up speed while lowering timing costs by not assigning bib numbers to no show runners.
